Tempeh Bacon

Replace your greasy bacon with Tempeh Bacon - I use it on salads, make BLT, etc.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Pure Maple Syrup I use regular syrup
  • 2 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 8 oz package of tempeh

Instructions
 

  • Create a quick marinade by combining the soy sauce, maple syrup, hot sauce, and cumin in a shallow dish. Cut tempeh into strips of 12 and soak for about 2-5 minutes covering al pieces with sauce.
  • Place the tempeh in a nonstick pan and cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes on each side, or until crispy. Pour rest of sauce over tempeh while cooking.
