About Me
Meet Kim
Hello, my name is Kim and I am exited to be able to share my stories with you! I live in Nebraska with my husband, Mike. I love to keep busy with running, blogging, writing stories, decorating and re-decorating, drinking wine with friends, visiting breweries, trying new healthy recipes, meal planning, and I am always taking classes to learn something new! I love new adventures and travelling, and trying to find ways to live a healthy lifestyle, yet still enjoy life to the fullest!
RUNNER
I am a very obsessive runner:
I have run multiple marathons to include Boston, Chicago, New York, but I discovered trails about 5 years ago and fell in love with dirt!
Trail runs usually consist of 50k, 50 mile and 100 mile distances – sounds crazy but so much Fun! They can even take you deep in the mountains for races – more on that!
FOOTBALL
I am an avid football fan and try to never miss a game: Anyone that knows me can tell you I have an issue with a football player that I am crazy obsessed with and he is retired – breaks my heart not to watch him play anymore – MR. PEYTON MANNING – love of my life!
As for my team when it comes to PRO I am die hard Denver Broncos and as for college have to cheer for those Iowa Hawkeyes!
MY FAMILY
My Children
Kayla, my beautiful daughter. She is one of a kind. She always wanted something unique for herself and she found it by going to college in Chicago and now has made a life for herself there. She is amazingly talented in music and art (although she will argue) but I know she is, definitely did not get it from me! We may have a difference of opinion on many subjects but still have a great relationship! She surprised me a few years ago with stage side tickets to Cher! She is the best and knows me so well!
Brandt, my son, is an adventurer to say the least. He completed college as an Engineer and now out and about buying homes and have multiple rental properties and his own company. He has travelled the country on motorcycle by himself, talk about worrying mom! He is a great kid and cannot wait what adventures he has yet to take on! 
MY MOM
My mom lives in Iowa and is really my best friend! My personality has definitely come from her – never give up, never stop. She is 77 and keeps very busy bowling, gardening, travelling with friends and I am not sure how many nights she plays cards! Oh, and she still finds time for an afternoon at the bar with friends and cocktails! We take annual mother/daughter trips together and I hope we will be doing that for years to come! She is a one of a kind!
My dad passed away of cancer when I was 19 but he definitely left me his temperament, impatience, and say what you want before you think side! I miss him every day!
My Brother and Family
I have only one sibling, Tim, who is 3 years older than me. Hmm do I have to say anything nice about him? 🙂 Well I can say he has a great family! My sister-in-law, Theresa, is great and the best decorator I know, finds such unique pieces to make her house look wonderful, I am jealous! She is easy to talk to and nice to just hang out with. 
I have a niece, Jaelyn, in college. She is the sweetest and cutest little red head you will ever meet! My nephew Cole just graduated college and now out working and living in D.C.! My youngest nephew, Reed, is a senior in high school and quite the athlete and an awesome kid! I can’t wait to see his baseball career! Tim, well he is a very hard worker and takes care of his family and I have to say he is very handy when it comes to home improvement, mechanics, or anything like that – he just needs to try and not cut his fingers off!
My Husband (just got married!)
Let me introduce you to Mike.
We have been together for 14 years! He is definitely the quiet type, so total opposite of me! When it comes to football, we both really love the sport, but we have a rivalry on teams – he is diehard Nebraska Huskers (Yuk!) and Dallas Cowboys fan! 
I am not sure how he puts up with me always finding a new project – I worry him all the time on what is the next big project – hmm, new basement – built in pool, wait how about a gazebo with a hot tub?? We love to travel together and hope to do more of that! He is amazing and keeps me calm and grounded!
