Valentine Gift Ideas for Couples and Yourself!
Pamper Yourself
I find these gifts to be a little tricky to choose just the right thing. You really don’t want to buy flowers for men. Well for myself, I feel like all flowers do is wilt! Valentine’s Day is really not a holiday, is it? I mean it is a day to celebrate the person you love I guess. What if you don’t have the one special person in your life? Well I have a plan with this post to give you some ideas if you are simply gifting yourself or truly giving to your special Valentine! I have ideas for the special couple, gift for him, gifts for her, and especially just for yourself!
Now lets get started! I really want to just start with you! I think we all deserve a day of pampering! I myself am up to my eyeballs in stuff! Now if you don’t have the special someone or maybe you just want this day to yourself, either way I have some ideas! This may not be too exciting, but how about a nice relaxing time curled up on the couch with a book?
We are still focused on you! Did you think I would end your day with reading a book? Well you really do not know me then! I am all about pampering myself and reading a book is just one relaxation technique, but that does not even begin the pampering. One of my favorite ways to pamper myself is by taking a luxury bath! When I say luxury, I mean all the bubbles, oils and whatever else I can pour in the water. I also prefer it to be steaming hot! Here are some go to products that are some of my favorites and also some Valentine gift ideas rolled into it also!
Lush is one of my all time favorite bath products! If you have not visited one of their stores or purchased any of their products, you are missing out! The website is Valentine’s Day | Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics (lushusa.com) This is a must if you love your bath time! I think I have the bubbles taken care of but also including some small fun little things to add to your bath-time below!
Also if you need to learn to relax and just needs some relaxation techniques – I have some great ideas for ya – more reading! 🙂 https://achievethedistance.com/can-you-relax/
Now to the best part of your relaxing bath and your whole day if you want – WINE! Yes people I do drink wine and I am not ashamed to admit. I love WINE! Wine is probably one of the most important gifts for Valentine’s Day I can recommend! If you don’t like wine, well your day is ruined! (Just kidding!) There are many other kinds of alcohol! 🙂 I think it is imperative that you have these things for your bath to wrap it all up with your book, your bath and your wine!
Couple Ideas
Now that I have ourselves taken care of, how about the couple portion of this Valentine’s day? I do have to say though, all of the above can be for both of you! You can also cuddle on the couch and each read you own book! The only bad part is you might have to share your wine! 🙁 One thing I plan on doing is putting sticky notes all over the mirror to let him know everything I love about him!
Now I think you should start out your day with a nice brunch date. I say brunch so this way you can sleep in or do whatever you please, just don’t get up right away! Go out, have a great brunch and a mimosa or two. If you really want a good start to the day, search for some brunch venues that offer bottomless mimosas!
Here are a few in Omaha:
Now after brunch, I would say to do some shopping but your partner may not be into that – so maybe take a couple hours and go to gym (probably what I would do), get your nails done, or go home and take a nap together!
Now we are into your evening, the best part! Depending on where you are at and your weather, you can go out to a nice dinner, grill some steaks, or find something to bring back home. I found that HyVee Grocery store in my area has a great romantic dinner (steak and lobster) you can simply pickup and bring home! All you have to do is download the HyVee Aisles Online App and choose Date Night In! Of course, DO NOT forget the wine or alcohol of your choice. I do have a great mango margarite recipe you could try:
It is time for some fun!
A great game to have some fun with your partner and get to know them all over again. A fun time to take the boring out of a relationship and spice it up a little!
One more thing I found fun and free: dance lessons. There are so many you tube vides with free dance lessons – just search for your favorite kind of dance! https://www.youtube.com/. I know my fiancee is going to love this (NOT). It is a great way to jump start you evening and don’t forget to drink some wine and let loose!
I have so much more I want to share but will save for another post! I hope you found this informative and at least get a few ideas from it to make your Valentine a special day! There are so many things you can do together to relax and so many things for yourself also, just try and think outside the box and I am sure you will have an awesome Valentine! Remember, it doesn’t have to be all about the couple, it can just be all about you!!
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!
